OUR MATERIAL DIRECTION

BETTER MATERIALS.
LESS NONSENSE.

KYUIK is being built around naturally insulating wool, recycled materials where they make sense, and products designed to stay useful beyond a single season.

PROGRESS OVER PERFECTION
01

Responsibly sourced wool

Wool is naturally insulating, durable and well suited to the high-temperature sauna environment. We are prioritising suppliers who can provide clear information about fibre origin and animal welfare.

02

Recycled where possible

We are exploring recycled fibres and components for linings, labels, trims and packaging wherever they meet our standards for comfort, durability and heat performance.

03

Smarter production runs

Pre-orders help us understand real demand before production, reducing the risk of manufacturing large quantities of stock that nobody asked for.

NATURAL INSULATION RECYCLED MATERIALS WHERE POSSIBLE SMALLER PRODUCTION RUNS BUILT TO BE USED

HONESTLY, WE’RE NOT FINISHED

WHAT WE’RE DOING.
WHAT COMES NEXT.

KYUIK KEEP
IMPROVING

“Sustainable” should not be a magic word printed on a swing tag. We would rather explain what we are doing, where the materials come from and what still needs improvement.

No imaginary halos.
Just better choices,
one production run
at a time.
01 NOW

Traceable material information

We are asking suppliers for clear documentation covering wool origin, fibre composition and recycled content rather than relying on vague marketing descriptions.

02 NOW

Less unnecessary packaging

Packaging will be kept protective and practical, with recycled or recyclable materials preferred over layers that exist only to make an unboxing video longer.

03 NEXT

Measured recycled content

As components are finalised, we intend to publish specific material percentages rather than making broad claims that cannot be checked.

04 NEXT

Longer product life

We are designing around durable construction and replaceable or repairable components where practical, because the best product is one that does not need to be replaced unnecessarily.
